Coming partly from Cascais and Lisbon, it’s in the writing of original songs that Duque Província find a place in the Portuguese musical scene. With a fresh approach on indie-pop-rock sounds, the four young musicians are gaining listeners who never hesitate to praise the band's versatility and boldness. Founded at the end of 2018, the band has cultivated public interest through independently released singles, which became the soundtrack to the summers and winters of young Lisbon residents. This journey culminated in their debut album, “2032”, which opened doors to iconic stages such as MEO Arena, Casa da Música and Festival Sol da Caparica.
With a unique ability to create a connection with the audience, whether through lyrics, melodies or live performances, Duque Província are now preparing for a new chapter in their career. The second album, developed in partnership with Sony Music, will bring a new and bold sound, already anticipated by the single “Prata da Casa”. Exploring territories that border on synth-pop, the four young people are committed to giving voice to the silent thoughts of their generation, translating emotions and concerns into music.
