CR&F - a toast to timeless moments

CR&F – Each bottle is a legacy that marks generations.

Since 1895, the Carvalho, Ribeiro & Ferreira house has carried the legacy of the best Portuguese brandies. The origin of this story can be traced back to the pleasure of sharing memories around the table, the experience that comes with over a century of tradition and the trust built over generations. 

In 2016, CR&F returns to Portuguese hands when it was bought by the winemaker João Portugal Ramos.

With his constant pursuit for perfection and the search for the best batches of Portuguese spirits, the desire to create this unique XO led to its inception. The lot selection process was long and arduous, made possible only with expert regional producers who helped to go through and analyse old batches. Brandies of various ages were selected. The final blend is the result of the distillation of different brandies from the selected region’s grape varieties, all kept over time in French oak and carefully selected. A batch reinvented over and over again, continuously refined, analysed by our team in tasting experiences to make sure the final result is nothing short of perfect. Each batch produced is different to achieve a unique and unrivalled product, while respecting the aromatic versatility of the terroir. 

A modern XO brandy, with a different style and twist that will leave an indelible mark.
