Sarah McCoy returns to Portugal for a short tour to present the new album released in January. Like “Blood Siren”, this “High Priestess” was also produced by Renaud Letang (Feist, Manu Chao, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin) and by the renowned Canadian pianist Chilly Gonzales, with whom the American diva crossed paths in 2017 at the ARTE festival Concert, in Paris – where he currently resides.
The singer and pianist - who traveled directly from New Orleans to the jazz and blues music scene in Europe - explored the intimate and confessional aspect in her debut album and has now evolved to another level of composition, opting for a more electronic sound that will surely conquer new audiences. “High Priestess” preserves, however, the visceral writing and powerful voice that characterize Sarah McCoy.
